Kartiki Gaikwad was won the most popular Sa Re Ga Ma Musical show– Litlle Champ award, has now turned a professional singer. Kartiki Gaikwad first appeared in the Idea Sa Re Ga Ma Little Champs competitive music reality show organized by the Zee Marathi tv channel in 2008, at a young age of 9. She had a great success, and shortlisted in final 50 facing competition from several thousand children in the age group of 8 to 14 yrs. Pre-semifinal round, she was eliminated because of low SMS score, despite receiving a good singing score. After that she got another opportunity and was called back in the call back round. Riding on her performance she reached the final 5.

Kartiki Gaikwad was declared as the winner of the competition in February 2009. After Kartiki Gaikwad winner, a big rally was carried out in Alandi to celebrate her victory. After that she performed in various shows MIFTA 2010, Lakh Lakh Chanderi in 2011, Nashik festival in 2012, Jyeshotsav in 2015, Star Pravah Ratna Awards in 2016 and many others.
In the year 2012 also saw the release of her first playback album titled Dinacha Soyra Pandurang; It was inaugurated by Shivsena Pramukh Balasaheb Thackeray. Her second album titled Swaranubhuti was released in 2015.
