Anurag Kumar Death: AIIMS Doctor Jumps to Death | AIIMS Doctor commits Suicide:
A 25-year-old doctor from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor of a doctors’ hostel in the primary institution on Friday evening.
The DCP (South) Atul Kumar Thakur said that Dr Anurag Kumar, a junior resident of the mental health field, jumped to his death at around 5pm. No suicide note has been found so far, police said.
During the initial investigation, the Delhi Police said it was a suicide case. He was being treated for mental illness. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
The Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan expressed his shock and grief over the incident. The doctor expressed his condolences to the family and colleagues.
According to the administration, the 25-year-old junior doctor, identified as Anurag Kumar, was transferred to the AIIMS accident but later succumbed to his injuries. The incident took place at around 5.00 pm.
