Gulabo Sitabo is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. Set in Lucknow, it stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana as warring men. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was not released theatrically, but was released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on 12 June 2020.
The first look of Amitabh Bachchan from the film, a quirky teaser poster was presented on 21 June, 2019. The film was scheduled for release on 17 April, 2020.
The release date of the film was initially announced for November 2019, but was then advanced to 28 April, 2020 and later preponed to February 28, 2020. The film’s release date was again postponed to 17 April, 2020. The film was then scheduled to be released on 17 April 2020, and then was further postponed.
On 22 May, 2020 the official trailer was launched by Amazon Prime Video.

In May 2019, in an interview Shoojit Sircar informed that Juhi Chaturvedi and he worked on the script. He also revealed Chaturvedi came up with a quirky story. He said, “As soon as I read the script, I shared it with Mr Bachchan and Ayushmann at the same time. I thought it would take some time to develop and take it forward, but everyone was so enthusiastic to work on this script, they figured out their dates and here we are…” He further informed that the title of the film is a colloquial term used in Lucknow
Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana were cast for the lead roles, making it their first film together. The filming began in the third week of June 2019 in Lucknow.

Gulabo Sitabo Full Movie Download
The film, upon its release, overall received positive responses with certain middling ones. Despite receiving acclaim in most places, critics said it was not meant for a theatrical release, and that the film was better suited for an OTT release. Anupama Chopra of Film Companion said that, “The film takes its time setting up this world, which is both contained and timeless. The first hour moves at a measured pace. In this, Gulabo Sitabo is more like October than Piku. The humour is quieter,” but also criticises it for its pacing, “These characters aren’t necessarily likeable so you might feel a little fatigued in their company. The narrative also meanders.” The Times of India gave it a rating of 3.5 out of 5 saying, “While the movie does well on many fronts and one of the highlights being the premise itself, the build-up consumes a fair share of the film, making it a tad draggy at the start.” He also praised the performances of all actors in the film. Mike McCahill of The Guardian gave it slightly negative review, giving 2 out of 5. Unimpressed by the performances and narrative, he says, “Bachchan works hard at his swaddled meanie character, but make-up and props are doing most of the work, work that ultimately serves to distance actor from audience. A tired-seeming Khurrana, meanwhile, presents as blandly anonymous, reducing a final push for pathos to a limp shrug. Everyone appears at the mercy of shaky narrative foundations.”

- A nice comedy movie with a nice story and charming cinematography. Really like it.story was so different by Juhi chaturbedy like she had written in past (piku October vicky donor madras cafe )with Avik Mukhopadhyay’s cinematography it looks so real to believe in circumstances.chemistry and acting of Big B and Ayushman was so good as expected. Over all a nice clean comedy drama by shoojit sircar. Must see.
- I was eagerly awaiting this movie as I am the biggest fan of Amitabh Bachchan. I was surprised to see that it was available at 11 Pm on 11th June whereas it was supposed to Premier on 12th June. So, I watched the movie immediately but I am sorry to say that I am extremely disappointed with the movie. Only last 5-10 minutes of the movie are a bit funny , otherwise there is no Comedy in the movie. This is the worst movie of Amitabh’s entire career. I have given it 8 marks out of 100, which means “Extremely Poor”. Although, Amitabh’s acting is good according to the role but the movie is extremely boring. He should choose his movies wisely. I recently watched his “Khuda Gawah” again, which is an outstanding movie and Amitabh’s performance is also extra ordinary. Amitabh should do such powerful movies only. I am surprised to see good reviews of “Gulabo Sitabo” and it has reaffirmed my faith that most of the reviews are useless and I believe in my reviews only. · just watched the movie. Dialogues, comic timing, acting, screenplay, turns, and twists, all these together make it a good movie. Those who watch a movie for peppy music won’t like it much. But those who like a movie with a different story, clean comedy, different concept, they’re gonna like it.· For Malayali audiences, this film look like the Lucknowi version of our own super hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum, although the story is entirely different. There are wonderful comic scenes that would make one burst into laughter, especially the scene where Khurrana comes to compromise with Bachchan asking to adopt him and how Bachchan responds.
- Cute movie with a lot of warm and funny moments. Gets boring in the middle. One time watch. Watch it for the fantastic actors and the plot twist you won’t anticipate.
- I watched its trailer and it was hilarious… Combo of two fabulous actor make it worth watch……Eagerly waiting for the movie to get released…It will surely enlighten viewers mood in this pandemic condition.
- By just watching the trailer,i thought if this movie had been realeased in cinemas it would have earned millions. i mean two great actors-ayushmann khurana and legend amitabh bacchan in one movie is just awesome 4 stars from me

Amitabh sir and Ayushman, both are legends💕.· The worst movie of Ayushman Khurana’s life. I think Ayushman you should take a break and then give blockbuster movies like “Vicky Donor”, “Badhai Ho” “Article 15” “Dream Girl” etc.· Moreover Mr. Amitabh Bacchan Ji this role did not suited you hope you will come back through Brahmastra well.

Gulabo sitabo is only one time watch.· The story revolves around the haveli (owned by amitabh bacchan)and the tenent(ayushman and etc) it gets boring in the middle of movie.
