Minister KT Jaleel has been included in Swapna’s phone call list. Pinarayi Vijayan government is in more crisis in the gold smuggling case.

Earlier, it was reported that Sarith and Swapna were on the phone list of the accused in the case. Asianet News has released a list of one-month phone calls from a number of Sapna and Sarith.

KT Jaleel, had come under fire after being accused of nepotism by IUML general secretary PK Firoz and vice-president Najeeb over the appointment of KT Adeeb, the minister’s cousin, as the general manager of KSMDFC.

 K. T. Jaleel was a bank worker with a salary of 116000 rupees and minister had appointed him in KSMDFC for 86000 rupees monthly salary.

 K. T. Jaleel held positions such as: Chairman, P.S. M.O. College Union; he served as MSF chairman in his education period, Malappuram District Council; Director, Kerala Automobiles Ltd and Malcotex, Karthala Chungam; General Secretary, Kerala State Muslim Youth League; Chairman, Standing Committee on Education and Health, District Panchayat Malappuram; Syndicate member, Calicut University; Director of Norka Roots; Member of Legislative assembly, Kuttipuram- 2006. Member of Legislative assembly, Thavanoor- 2011 – 2016.
